Recent studies show definitively that early mobility and weight bearing to tolerance significantly improves range of motion and reduces swelling more effectively than immobilisation.

In plain English – if you have an ankle sprain, don’t just limp around and try not to use your foot/ankle. Our Physiotherapists can show you the appropriate exercises and the appropriate amount of weight bearing (with or without crutches) at the right timing from injury.
